Reed Short Film Competition – The Boss!

Reed employment agency are running a short film competition, with the theme of ‘The Boss’.

Now, while I’m sure there are plenty of Bruce Springsteen fans out there who may be tempted, this is fairly and squarely aimed at   serious film makers, be they an amateur using a mobile phone or a professional with state of the art cast, crew and equipment.

With priceless exposure in the industry and a £10,000 prize at stake, all you need to do is to make a three minute film and upload it via the entry form on their website here. Make it funny, serious, surreal, it’s your call – it doesn’t have to be about Bruce Springsteen! This is what you could experience:

  • 12 shortlisted films will be screened at an exclusive awards party at The Hospital Club in London
  • One lucky winner will walk away with a £10,000 Grand Prix, one year’s complimentary membership for the Hospital Club and a year’s subscription to Shooting People
  • Winners of the People’s Choice, Best Animation and Judges Commendation categories will each take home £1,000.
  • Your film would be showcased at many of the world’s top film festivals.

And that’s not all – last year, previous shortlisted directors were invited to make Reed a new TV ad. Jonathan Brooks was the successful filmmaker and his ad ‘Super Reed’ is currently being aired on national TV. Jonathan won £10,000 for his efforts along with the opportunity to work with some of the advertising industry’s best talent. So who knows what entry this year could lead to in the future!

The deadline is midnight on March 25th!

FYI: The Hospital Club is designed specifically for the creative industries, endeavouring to discover and feed the best creative talent, producing, publishing and celebrating their work – check it out!
