After the success of the inaugural Medway Open Studios and Arts Festival in July, director Heather Burgess has organized a winter festival for the weekend of 8th and 9th December and is calling for artists’ applications.
Over 70 artists took part in July and many are opening their doors again, inviting visitors in to see their work and learn more about their crafts. Heather hopes that even more will participate this time, promoting themselves and their work, which ranges from jewellery, sculpture, print, paint and photography.
In addition to the open studios there will be a Makers Market in Rochester – a central location in which to find original creations, buy unique gifts and meet local artists.
Medway Open Studios and Arts Festival is a community arts festival celebrating the wealth of creativity in Medway. It aims to highlight the vastness of artistic talent in the area, thus promoting a positive opinion of Medway as a creative hub.
