A new challenge for you from ME4 Writers – an open collaborative project to work with writers and artists.

Writers: if you have an idea for a book which you have not, and probably never will, write or finish, send them your title, the genre it is, and back cover blurb (100 words max).

Artists: if you would like to design an image for this cover, drop them a line at ME4writers@gmail.com

They’ll pair up book info with an artist who will design a cover artwork. Finished artworks will be displayed in an exhibition (date and venue TBC) and in an online gallery. There will be more info on the project as it develops.

Deadline for expressions of interest and book info: 20 March 2013.

Also, Roy is hosting a new cultural open mic this Wednesday, February 27th from 7pm in Dot Cafe, Rochester High Street.

Poetry, philosophy, music, short-stories, painting, plays, history, short-films, photography, stand-up comedy and anything else are all welcome at Seasonally Effected.

Following the Short Encounter’s event last October, he thought it’d be fun to put together a much broader event. Seasonally Effected will give 5-10 minute slots to anyone who would like to respond to the theme. The theme being right now, February, the end of winter, early 2013 or anything related to it, however tangentially. All slots have been booked, so come along for a varied and entertaining evening.
