The opening events in the Rochester Literature Festival ‘Other Worlds, Other Voices’ will take place on National Poetry Day, Thursday October 3rd.
ME4Writers popular poem treasure hunt, Poetrymon, will begin the festival, with poems by local writers on designer postcards hidden throughout the Medway Towns. Clues to finding them will be given on line as ever, at ME4’s special Poetrymon page (which will be on line for 3 October only!) at me4writers.wordpress.com.
Medway Libraries, proudly supported by the Rochester Literature Festival, is holding two special events with award winning author Maggie Harris.
To celebrate Black History Month, Maggie will share a selection of her poetry and prose at Rochester Library on Thursday, October 3rd, from 7.30pm.
Additionally, there will be a Poetry Workshop with Maggie at Strood Library on Saturday, October 5th between 10am – 12noon. Take the opportunity to discover your inner voice, guided by an expert.
Both events are free but will require booking on 01634 337799.

Most events are free, but some will have a small charge to help us cover some of our costs. As a voluntary group, the RLF currently have no funding and would welcome any donations in exchange for logos and weblinks on the website in association with us generally, or in support of individual events.
